Low-Carbon and Energy-Saving
Optical storage has lower costs than disk storage, with overall power consumption only about one-tenth that of disk-based systems, significantly reducing space usage and cooling energy costs. Compared with tape libraries, optical storage offers more convenient data management, enabling on-demand file retrieval and access.
Long-term Storage
Optical storage uses optical media as the storage carrier. Data stored on optical media can be securely stored for over 50 years. With write-once and non-rewritable characteristics, it meets the requirements for long-term data storage.
Tiered Storage
Optical storage manages data based on its lifecycle, identifying hot and cold data. Hot data is automatically cached to disk storage, significantly improving data access efficiency.
Single-Disc Readability
Using standard UDF format, each optical disc is independently managed and validated at the system level. As long as the disc is not physically damaged, data can still be reliably accessed and recovered.
Rich Interfaces
Supports standard NFS/CIFS protocols and provides RESTful APIs for integration with third-party applications.
Disc Scanning
The system performs full media scans every 1–3 years (configurable), automatically testing and evaluating disc health and generating inspection reports to ensure data integrity and reliability.
Easy Operation and Maintenance
The optical media discs burned by this system can be read on ordinary BD burners, and are also compatible with other brands of discs on the market, avoiding compatibility issues and the need for expensive proprietary accessories associated with non-standard discs.
